Summer 2004 and Beyond: Going to the GoGo
Sunday, 24 December 2006
Saturday at the Hyatt Regency
Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington, VA 22202

This was a Positive Black Men Coalition event.

This wasn't in the main ballroom as that was undergoing construction.

Michon was there. I talked with Bobby Smoot.

Familiar Faces
Jacques was on 2nd Percussion.
1) Sean-led Brian McKnight's Anytime - it was laid back, I was the only one on the dance floor at first, Sean sang at the edge of the stage, then on the dance floor
2) Sean-led Earth, Wind & Fire's Can't Hide Love - Sean went back onstage, Godfather played the flugelhorn
3) Sean-led Gerald Levert's Funny - it cranked, Sean sang at the edge of the stage, Halima had a new hairdo
4) Sean-led Marvin Gaye's I Want You - it cranked
5) Sean-led Omarion's Entourage - it cranked, the dance floor was full / Percussion solo
6) Halima-led Sade's No ordinary Love - it cranked, Sean played klavs, Dwayne tuned Sean's guitar
7) Halima-led Cheri Dennis' I Love You - it cranked, Halima sang on the dance floor and held her mic to fans
8) Sean-led Justin Timberlake's Sexy Back - it cranked (Ugh, I hate that song) / Percussion solo
9) Alternating Halima-led Beyonce's Ring the Alarm - Sean played guitar, Godfather played the flugelhorn / Donnell-led DJ Unk's Walk It Out (tease)
They performed for about an hour.

I decided to leave and go to Tradewinds. Raheem DeVaughn was the headliner.

I saw Sweetchelle outside on my way to my car.
