Wednesday at Takoma Station
Takoma Station, 6914 4th St NW, Washington, DC 20012

Tamara was there. She introduced me to her friend Brittney. Brittney had just turned 21 on Friday. She had tried to come to Takoma Station last week with Tamara, but they wouldn't let her in. Darrell F., Tyrell, Shadonna, Pinky, Tim (LJ), and Vonshawn were there.

Familiar Faces
First Set
1) Blueprint - instrumental, Donnell played his Sax on the dance floor, Donnell said, "Dana is celebrating her birthday. I expect to be eating cake in an hour", Dwayne played a nice guitar solo, Donnell did a shout out to Dewey of the Circle Boys, Donnell said, "We got my man Lorenzo, tall man" / Donnell briefly played Parliament's P. Funk (Wants to Get Funked Up) / Donnell said, "Since we play Jazz, and Jazz is all about improvisation. We're going to get my man Kal'el in here.", Sean sang freestyle including "Happy birthday Britney", then Halima and Mike separately also sang freestyle

2) Mother's Finest's Love Changes (tease) - instrumental
John was there. 3) Mike-led I Dreamed You - Donnell played on the dance floor and later Mike sang on the dance floor 4) Halima-led Mary Blige's Be Without You - Tamara sang back up, Halima sang on the dance floor, fans put their hands up at the appropriate time in the song
Tracy S. was there.

6) Mike-led Toto's Georgy Porgy / Bobby Valentino's Slow Down - Mike sang on the dance floor / Percussion solo
Stinky Dink and Sharika were there.
7) Sean-led Gerald Levert's Funny - Sean sang on the dance floor
RE Angie was there.
Donnell said (not sure who to), "I see how you look at me, you want me to sing this song"

Roe was there.
The owner of Takoma Station asked why I was taking notes. When I told him, he said, "This is my place."
