Marcus Johnson Project & Torrie's Birthday Celebration
Juste Lounge, Cafe Peju, 4867 Cordell Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814

Light the Way Foundation Fundraiser
All proceeds will go towards Light the Way Foundation, an organization which provides funding for disadvantaged children to participate in extracurricular activities.

I've been to this location when it was a different restaurant before, but had never seen entertainment here. I arrived a little after 8:30 PM.

Marcus Johnson Project - 9:06 PM
The line up was: Marcus Johnson (keyboard), Stan Cooper (guitar), Sean Geason (bass), Dwayne Thomas (drummer)

I didn't recognize most of the songs performed, which were mostly instrumentals. Marcus introduced a song Maxin from Lessons in Love. I recognized Roy Ayers' Everybody Loves the Sunshine. Marcus introduced You and I from The Phoenix. He talked about it being the first single, written in Costa Rica.
I enjoyed the performance.

After the performance, I talked with Dwayne, who had played with Familiar Faces for a while. Stan introduced me to Sean Geason; Stan said Sean plays for Suttle.

Taylor Thomas of WHUR 96.3 FM got on the mic. She introduced Janice Murphy of the Light the Way Foundation.

I enjoyed myself. It was nice to see a place in Bethesda with (beautiful) professional women.

Stan gave me a copy of a PA of Elements of Soul with the late Clarence "Boolah" Roper on guitar - I enjoyed it.

I then headed to Torrie's Birthday Celebration.

The Crystal Room, John E. Feggans Center, 311 68th Pl, Seat Pleasant, MD 20743

When I arrived, Tracey G. was the only one I knew. Eventually, Torrie arrived with Melanie. I later saw MeCelle. I stayed for a while and then headed to Mirrors.
